Box Dividers

DIY Storage Solution

It doesn't get any simpler. Two to four cuts, and you have a stylish divider to separate your cards.
You can use any non-corrugated cardboard packaging. My favorite material for this is a Pokémon TCG Elite Trainer Box cardboard insert—the thing that comes inside the box to keep the packs, sleeves, dice, and markers in place.
(One note about ETB inserts, the "center cut" has amazing symmetry, but is double-thickness because that's where the insert is glued together.)
You'll need a straightedge, a box cutter, and scrap cardboard (e.g., an empty cereal box). In a pinch, a good pair of scissors can work instead. And for a polished look, a corner rounder—more on this in a minute.
1. Decide on the size you want. I like mine to be just about top-loader size, but I imagine some might like them a little taller for labels.
2. With the scrap cardboard (cereal box) under your good cardboard on a sturdy table, use the straightedge and blade to make the cuts.
3. I hesitate to recommend buying more stuff, but I think we can agree uniform corners look clean. You can get a lot of use out of a cheap corner rounder from the 'zon. Pick a corner radius—I like 7 mm—and chop all four corners. Et voila.
P.S. If your cardboard section isn't the right size for a box divider, consider making a bookmark or game token instead.
